Bill Smith

Bill Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bill worked at Terrestrial Energy as the Senior Vice President - Operations & Engineering since 2016. Prior to that, they held various senior executive roles at Siemens Canada from 2002 to 2014, including Senior Vice President - Energy Sector and Technology and Major Project Development, Vice President - Power, and General Manager - Toronto Region. Before joining Siemens, they worked at Ontario Power Generation from 1981 to 2002, where they held positions such as Vice President - Supply Chain, Director - Nuclear Materials Management, Procurement Manager, and Nuclear Project Engineer.

Bill Smith attended Carleton University from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil. Bill later pursued further education at York University from 1989 to 1991, earning an MBA with a specialization in Strategic Planning. In addition to their academic qualifications, Bill Smith received the Professional Engineer certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in February 2016. Bill also holds another Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
