Bill Lavin

VP, Co-Founder at Terrific Studios

Bill Lavin has held various positions in the tech industry since 1979. Bill began their career at American Express as a Project Manager and Technical Lead, where they managed 45 technical resources and facilitated the analysis and design for direct marketing systems. From 1991 to 1996, they were the Vice President and Board Member at Tier Technologies, helping to take the company from a startup to revenues of over $20 million. In 1995, they became the President and Advisor to the Board of IGN: Internet Global Network, responsible for the startup of the organization and the move to an offshore jurisdiction. In 1997, they were the Vice President at Mastercoin, responsible for the development and implementation of a viral marketing system and an electronic cash product. From 1998 to 2000, they were the Vice President and Board Member at MegaChain, Vancouver Stock Exchange, helping to set the strategic direction of the company. From 2015 to 2018, they were the VP and Co-Founder at Terrific Studios, LLC, directing development and handling game design tasks. Bill is currently the Game Designer and Co-Founder at PlayStakes LLC, building CryptoBeasties, an innovative Trading Card Game on the blockchain.

Bill Lavin obtained their B.A in Mathematics with dual minors in Computer Science and Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 1973. Bill also has certifications as a Graduate from Dale Carnegie and a Graduate in Project Management from the American Management Association.
