Buffy Wooten

Dr. Buffy Wooten is the Owner/Executive Clinical Director of Wooten & Associates, PLC., a clinical practice providing therapy to adults with histories of trauma and abuse. She is recognized as an esteemed community advocate and speaker for mental health and mindful living in various supporting roles in the community. Dr. Wooten has completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and has developed a team of therapists who are pursuing expertise in DBT and implement the protocol. She currently serves on the GCU Psychology Counseling Advisory Committee, the National Association for Marriage Enhancement, and is the Founder of the Kingdom Fellowship Assistance Network. She was awarded the Project HEAL Behavioral Health Excellence Award in 2017 and the Argosy University, Clinical Supervisor of the Year in 2016. Dr. Wooten obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida.
