Tertiary Education Commission
Victoria Metcalf is currently the Principal Advisor for Vocational Education & Training Outcomes at the Tertiary Education Commission, a role commenced in July 2023 that focuses on implementing and supporting the VET Outcomes leadership framework. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Advisor for Stakeholder Engagement at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand and holding the position of Strategic Relationships Advisor at the Royal Society Te Apārangi. Additionally, from 2015 to 2020, Victoria was the National Coordinator for the Participatory Science Platform at the Office of the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor, fostering collaboration between communities and scientists. Earlier roles include a lecturer in genetics at Lincoln University and a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Canterbury, along with a brief stint in marketing and management at BikeRIGHT. Victoria holds a PhD and a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Otago.
