Patrick Cullen

Patrick Cullen has an honours degree in Geology from the University of Portsmouth and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland. He is an experienced mineral exploration executive with a strong technical background in geology, geophysics and mining, spanning over 25 years. Prior to joining Tertiary Minerals plc, Patrick was chief executive at AIM-listed Irish gold and zinc explorer, Arkle Resources plc where he led the application of new, cost-effective techniques to surface geochemical sampling, identifying new drill targets which have delivered multiple, significant gold intersections. He has a proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams across Southern Africa and Europe, making new discoveries in his roles as exploration manager, re-evaluating and developing historic resources, as well as establishing maiden resources in accordance with leading international codes. Prior to his exploration career, he worked on expansion projects at various deep level gold mines, for AngloGold Ashanti and at the South Deep mine west of Johannesburg. He has experience in gold, base metal, platinum group metals, uranium and phosphate exploration and resource definition. He began his career in the oil sector at Schlumberger in 1995.
