Ales Kolenc

Ales Kolenc has extensive work experience in business development and strategic alliances, primarily in the medical industry. Ales is currently serving as the Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies since August 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Global Government Programs, Business Development at the same company from June 2019 to August 2021.

In their earlier career, Ales Kolenc held various positions at Haemonetics, starting in 2001. Ales served as the Director of Armed Forces WW, Business Development, where they were responsible for developing business solutions in the blood banking industry for US Department of Defense operations worldwide. Ales also worked as the National Accounts Manager for the US Military and Regional Account Manager for the MidAtlantic region in the Blood Bank Division.

Before joining Haemonetics, Ales Kolenc worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Cynosure, Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they were a Regional Sales Manager at LPG USA from 1995 to 1997, where they achieved high rankings and led the sales and distribution of capital surgical equipment in the Northeastern region.

Ales Kolenc's earliest work experience was at AZ Consulting, DOO, where they served as the Head of International Agency Representation for Eastern and Central Europe. In this role, they managed a department specializing in consulting, marketing, and international distribution of medical, communication, and measuring equipment. Ales also acted as a buyer's purchasing agent and importer for Slovene governmental organizations in the medical and communications field.

Ales Kolenc obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Automation & Cybernetics from the University of Ljubljana, Fakulteta za elektrotehniko, between 1985 and 1989.
