Shawn O'Leary

Shawn O'Leary is currently the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Global R&D at Terumo Neuro, a position held since September 2024, while also serving as a Board Advisor for OccluNova, a startup focused on advanced alternatives to oral anticoagulation therapy. O'Leary has extensive experience in medical device development, having previously held senior leadership roles at MicroVention-Terumo, where responsibilities included leading the California Interventional Systems Business unit, and Orqis Medical, focusing on devices for congestive heart failure. Key positions held include founding Right Track Engineering, managing R&D at ProDuct Health, and serving as Project Manager at LocalMed. O'Leary began a career at Baxter Healthcare, contributing to a wide range of interventional devices. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Business Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University.
