Evan Merks

Evan Merks has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Evan started their career at Valley Portable Toilets in 2007, where they worked as a General Labourer for two years. In 2008, they joined Andersons Farm in the same role for a year. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Minas Basin Pulp and Power as a General Labourer, operating lift trucks and preparing paper rolls. In 2000, they joined JADE Farms as an Assistant Manager, overseeing construction projects and managing facilities for livestock. Currently, they are employed at Tervita Corporation since 2016, initially as a Project Administrator and later as a Project Coordinator. In this role, they are responsible for project planning, procurement, scheduling, cost control, and overall project management. Evan also assists the project manager in day-to-day tasks and ensures employee morale and project efficiency.

Evan Merks began their education journey in 2011 when they attended Acadia University. Evan pursued a Certificate of Applied Science in the field of Applied science and completed their studies there in 2013. Following this, they enrolled at Dalhousie University in 2013 and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, specializing in Mining and Mineral Engineering.
