Nianyun Chen (Chenny)

Nianyun (Chenny) Chen is an experienced professional in the field of Biologics drug substance CMC activities, currently serving as Associate Director at GSK since January 2019, where responsibilities include strategic leadership in early to late phase development. Previously, Nianyun held the position of Senior Manager at TESARO, Inc., providing technical leadership for purification process development. At Amgen, Nianyun worked as a Senior Engineer and led process engineering for mAb (Biosimilar) projects, overseeing tech transfer and regulatory filing. Nianyun also served as a Senior Purification Development Engineer at Shire Pharmaceuticals, contributing to various clinical projects, along with earlier experience as a Research Assistant and Instructor at the University of Virginia. Nianyun holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Bioengineering/Biochemical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
