Abhay Gupta

Abhay Gupta is a Senior Cell Materials Engineer at Tesla and a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree in the Energy category. They have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where they also earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. Abhay's experience includes research at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they investigated lithium-sulfur battery systems and developed low-temperature resilient electrolytes. Prior to Tesla, they worked as a Postdoctoral Appointee at Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on next-generation lithium-ion battery materials.
