Alex Vesel

Alex Vesel is a software engineer with experience in computer vision and deep learning. At Tesla, from June to September 2023, Alex contributed to projects focused on sensing, as well as developing inertial sensing algorithms for Tesla vehicles and the Tesla Bot, alongside advanced computer vision applications. As a deep learning researcher at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability from September 2022 to September 2023, Alex investigated the use of satellite imagery for estimating population density, training models on high-performance computing clusters. Prior experience includes managing engineering projects and technology at the UW-Madison CoE Makerspace and creating a data visualization tool during an internship at Epic. Alex holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
