Faraz Ashtiani

Faraz Ashtiani, Ph.D., is a Staff Systems Controls Engineer at Tesla, where they lead the Energy Products controls team. They previously worked as a Model-Based Control Design Engineer at Whirlpool Corporation and developed the cabin climate control system for the FF 91 model while at Faraday Future. Faraz’s research at Clemson University focused on optimal control methods in intelligent transportation systems, and they have held roles as a Senator in the Graduate Student Government and President of the International Student Association. They earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics from the University of Tehran.
