Ian Carroll

Ian Carroll is a Computer Engineering student at Memorial University of Newfoundland, expected to graduate in April 2024. Currently serving as a Thermal Controller Firmware Intern at Tesla, Ian has previously held roles including Software Team Lead at Paradigm Hyperloop, where leadership involved designing embedded software for the IEEE Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition, and an Embedded Software Engineer responsible for developing device drivers. Ian's experience also includes working as an Embedded Software Developer Co-op at Nokia, improving hardware validation processes, and as an FPGA Design Engineer Co-op at Avalon Holographics, focusing on verification simulations and hardware validation. Additional roles include a Systems Software Specialist Co-op at Bluedrop Training & Simulation, a Civil Engineering Intern with the Canadian Coast Guard, and a Food Server at Spirit of Newfoundland Productions Inc.
