Jon Bennett

Jon Bennett is an experienced engineering professional specializing in firmware and embedded systems, currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Body Controls Firmware at Tesla since September 2014. In this role, Jon leads a team focused on developing and validating firmware for mechatronics and lighting systems in Tesla vehicles. Prior to this, Jon held various positions that included Staff Firmware Engineer and Senior Firmware Engineer at Tesla, where significant contributions included the development of firmware for the Model X and creation of the "Merry Model XMas" light show. Jon's background also includes roles as an Embedded Systems Consultant at Sqair Wave, Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Qualcomm, and Embedded Software Design Engineer at Pebble Technology, showcasing a strong proficiency in embedded system development and design across multiple platforms and technologies. Jon holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
