Kun Dong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as the Country Manager for Energy Business at Tesla since February 2024, Kun leads the strategic expansion of the Tesla Megapack business in China and oversees local operations. Prior experience includes roles at GE Renewable Energy from November 2016 to February 2024, where Kun was the Commercial Leader for Asia & Pacific and previously the Business Development Director for the China offshore wind market. Earlier positions at Emerson Industrial Automation from July 2010 to October 2016 included Sales & Marketing Director AP and National Sales Manager. Starting the career as a Sales Manager at Arel Ltd. from July 2005 to June 2010, Kun has developed strong sales strategies and customer relationships throughout the professional journey. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Global Finance from Fordham University and an MBA from Peking University.
