Lin Yan

Lin Yan currently serves as a Sr Supplier Industrialization Engineer at Tesla since November 2024. Prior to this role, Lin worked at Zipline as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer from June 2021 to November 2024, focusing on the development of manufacturing processes for next-generation delivery drones and providing design for manufacturing/design for assembly feedback. Earlier experience includes a position as a Mechanical Engineer at Foxconn Industrial Internet, where Lin designed a high-accuracy Automated Optical Inspection system, and a Design Engineer role at Acorn Wire & Iron Works. Lin also held a Research Assistant position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and interned as a Mechanical Engineer at Galatech Inc. Lin holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
