Liu Luo

Liu Luo currently serves as a Staff Cell Engineer - Cell Qualification Lead at Tesla, a position held since June 2025. Previously, Liu held various roles at Mitra Chem from October 2022 to June 2025, including Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager, Staff Engineer, and Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes positions at Albemarle Corporation as Sr. Supervisor of Lithium R&D Cathode and Lead R&D Cathode Scientist, among others, between December 2019 and November 2022. Liu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where research focused on high-performance lithium-based batteries, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University. Additionally, Liu held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, mentoring undergraduate students in laboratory practices and safety.
