Matthew Glazer

Matthew Glazer is a seasoned battery cell materials engineer currently serving as a Staff Cell Materials Engineer at Tesla since 2021. They hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, where their research focused on battery cycling and degradation behavior in advanced lithium-ion materials. Previously, Matthew worked in various roles, including at Exponent as a Managing Engineer, where they led complex scientific analyses for diverse clients and contributed to significant cost savings in product recalls. They also have experience as Dean's Special Assistant for International Affairs at Tianjin University, where they enhanced international collaboration and communication.
