Michael Snyder

Michael Snyder has extensive experience in the energy sector, specializing in electrical engineering and renewable energy systems. Currently serving as Vice President of Energy and Charging at Tesla since July 2021, Michael has been accountable for the Megapack product's lifecycle, including its roadmap, technical execution, manufacturing, and service. Prior roles include Senior Director of Engineering and Construction at HDR, where responsibilities encompassed large-scale photovoltaic system design and energy storage evaluation, and a consulting position at Michael Snyder Engineering, focusing on photovoltaic system designs. Michael's background also includes significant contributions at SunPower Corporation as Manager of Electrical Engineering, overseeing global projects, and early career experience with Flack + Kurtz. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from The University of Kansas.
