Nan Zhang

Nan Zhang is currently a Staff CAE Engineer at Tesla, where they leverage extensive knowledge in structural analysis and material behavior. They pursued their PhD at Clemson University from 2012 to 2016, conducting advanced research on the mechanics of plastic deformation and developing computational models for aluminum alloys. Prior to their role at Tesla, Nan served as a Senior CAE Engineer at ZF TRW, focusing on automotive braking components and leading a team in CAE model development. They also held research assistant positions at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Iowa State University, contributing to various studies on material testing and mechanical interaction.
