Neal Ma is currently a Machine Learning Engineer at Tesla, where they are focused on advancing sustainable energy technology. They are pursuing a Master’s degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering at Columbia University, concentrating on Sustainable Energy, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science from Yale University. Neal has experience as a Graduate Researcher at Columbia, where they worked on electricity market modeling and enhancing simulation efficiencies, and they previously interned at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, producing research on molten salt purification. Their dedication to renewable energy is rooted in their upbringing in Washington State, where they witnessed the effects of climate change firsthand.
