Tad Yoo is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electronics and hardware development. At Amazon from July 2019 to March 2022 as a Test Development Engineer, Tad collaborated with cross-functional teams to enhance the just walk out grocery shopping experience for Amazon Go. Prior to Amazon, Tad served as a Senior Hardware Development Engineer at Valve Corporation from March 2016 to June 2019, leading a team to innovate next-generation Virtual Reality hardware systems. Tad also worked at Nion Co. as an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, successfully improving production rates for advanced electron microscopy. Additional early career experiences include internships at the City of Seattle and Philips Oral Healthcare. Currently, Tad serves as a Staff Software Engineer at Tesla, starting in July 2025. Tad holds multiple degrees from the University of Washington, including a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and two Master's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
