Will Chi

Will Chi is a highly experienced mechanical design engineer with a robust background in power electronics and semiconductor equipment design. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla Motors since February 2007, Will specializes in the mechanical design of on-board and stationary inverter and charger hardware, including various materials and power distribution solutions. Previous roles include mechanical engineering positions at Texas Instruments, Reflectivity, and E-M Designs, where Will contributed to R&D in Digital Light Processing systems, MEMS equipment, and a range of consumer and telecommunications products. Will holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering from UC Davis College of Engineering, completed in 1998.
