Yilun Chen

Yilun Chen is a Staff Robotics Machine Learning Engineer at Tesla, where they are currently building the Optimus humanoid. Previously, Yilun worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple and Lyft, and as a Research Engineer Intern at TuSimple, where they contributed to the development of motion planning for self-driving cars. Yilun also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where they conducted research on behavior planning for autonomous vehicles and published multiple papers. Yilun's academic background includes a Master of Science in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Automation from Tsinghua University.
