Koen Verstraete

Koen Verstraete has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Koen is currently the Senior Vice President Group ICT at Tessenderlo Group, where they lead an international team responsible for implementing the ICT & Digital Roadmap for the company. Prior to this role, Koen was the ICT Director at Tessenderlo Group, where they defined the ICT Strategy and Roadmap for the company's European activities.

Before joining Tessenderlo Group, Koen owned Verstraete Koen BV, where they managed the company's operations. Koen also served as the General Manager for Belgium & The Netherlands at 9altitudes, focusing on operational excellence and sustainable growth.

In the early years of their career, Koen held various managerial positions at delaware BeLux and Deloitte Consulting, where they managed Microsoft Business Unit and served as a Manager, respectively. Koen also worked as a Manager at Arthur Andersen (1885 -> 2002) Official.

Koen began their career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at KU Leuven, where they worked with Prof. Dr. F. in 1995.

Koen Verstraete holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering with a specialization in Management Information Technology from KU Leuven, which they obtained in 1995. Koen also completed another Master's degree in Business Engineering with a focus on Financial Management from the same institution, which they obtained in 1994. In 2019, they participated in certificate programs at Vlerick Business School, including MiGMO (Management in the Digital Economy) and Digital Leadership (Take the Lead). Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Next Generation AI: An Intro to GPT-3 from LinkedIn in 2023 and Cybersecurity Foundations from LinkedIn in 2020.
