Richard Smith

Richard Smith has a comprehensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Richard is currently working as a Senior Security Consultant at Tesserent since April 2023. Prior to this role, Richard worked at KPMG Australia for a considerable period. From October 2021 to April 2023, they served as a Senior Penetration Tester & Manager. Before that, they were a Senior Consultant - Penetration Tester from October 2018 to October 2021. Richard began their career at KPMG as a Consultant from August 2016 to September 2018.

Richard Smith's education history begins in 2013 when they obtained a Diploma in Information Technology - Networking from TAFE Queensland - Gold Coast RTO: 0275. In 2014, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Griffith University, which they completed in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, Richard attended Deakin University, where they focused on Chartered Accounting Foundations.

In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they earned the Prince2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. The same year, Richard also achieved the Prince2 Practitioner certification from the same institution. Moving forward, in 2021, they obtained the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security. Furthermore, in 2022, Richard completed the Certificate Of Completion in SANS660 Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploit Writing, and Ethical Hacking from SANS Institute. Finally, they acquired the GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) certification from GIAC Certifications in the same year.
