Charles Allgeier has extensive work experience in the field of controls engineering and automation. Charles is currently serving as the Chief Engineer at Tessy Automation since January 2022.

Prior to their current position, Charles worked at Nutec Tooling Systems as the Controls Engineering Supervisor from September 2005 to April 2022. In this role, they provided supervision and technical guidance to the electrical and control systems engineering department. Charles reviewed customer specifications and proposed appropriate machine control and safety architectures. Charles also provided labor and material estimates based on customer RFQs or internal practices.

Before joining Nutec, Charles worked at Steven Douglas Corporation as a Sr. Controls Engineer from May 2004 to August 2005. In this role, they specialized in equipment control system engineering, design, and programming, working with various motion systems, vision systems, and robotics.

From July 2000 to June 2004, Charles worked at Swanson-Erie Corporation, first as the Controls Engineering Manager/Project Manager and later as a Controls Engineer. As the Controls Engineering Manager/Project Manager, they provided supervision and leadership to the control systems engineering group. Charles assisted with defining and approving machine control and safety architectures and provided labor and material estimates. As a Controls Engineer, they designed electrical and pneumatic control systems and software for custom automated assembly machines, using various hardware and software platforms.

Charles Allgeier began their career at IBM as an Electrical Engineer from June 1988 to March 1994. Charles designed electrical control systems for specialized automation equipment and gained proficiency in CADAM for electrical design. Charles successfully retrofitted older circuit board drilling machines with state-of-the-art servo systems.

Charles Allgeier attended Pennsylvania State University-Erie Campus from 1983 to 1985, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Charles then enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1988, earning their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
