John Parker

John Parker has extensive experience in local government and community service, having served as the Romsey Town Mayor from May 2016 to May 2017 and currently holding roles as Romsey Town Mayor for 2024 and Councillor for Tadburn Ward on Romsey Town Council since May 2019. Parker was the Immediate Past Mayor upon completing the mayoral term in 2017 and has also served as Chairman and currently Vice Chairman of the Romsey Forum, which facilitates community discussions. Additionally, Parker has held various positions including Interim Chair at King John's House and Museum, Treasurer for Test Valley Borough Liberal Democrats, Secretary of Romsey District Neighbourhood Watch Association, and previously Councillor and Chairman of Romsey Extra Parish Council until its merger with Romsey Town Council in April 2023. Educational background includes a B.Sc. in Economics with Computing from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
