Tom Crutchfield is a seasoned professional in landscape architecture and ecology, currently serving as the Landscape and Ecology Team Leader at Test Valley Borough Council since September 2016. In this role, Tom manages the landscape aspects of planning within the Borough, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), planning consultations, and appeals. Prior to this, Tom worked at Hampshire County Council from September 2005 to September 2016 as a Landscape Architect, where major contributions were made to environmental enhancement projects in collaboration with National Parks and local councils, as well as leading landscape initiatives for new Household Waste Recycling Centres. Tom's career began as an Event Planner at Your Conference from June 2004 to August 2005. Educationally, Tom holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Greenwich (2010-2012) and a BA in Tourism & Heritage Management from the University of Southampton (2002-2005).

The borough is mainly rural and covers 628 square kms (243 square miles) on the western-side of Hampshire, with the majority of residents living in Andover, Romsey, Valley Park, Nursling and Rownhams.
