Andrew Botham

Andrew Botham has extensive work experience in the medical and scientific fields. Andrew began their career in 1999 as a Biomedical Scientist - Clinical Biochemistry at Barking, Havering, and Redbridge NHS Trust. In 2002, they became a Master's Researcher at Pfizer, followed by a PhD Student at the University of Hull in 2003. That same year, they also became a Plenary Lecturer of Pharmacology at Hull and York Medical School. In 2007, they took on the role of Head of Research and Development at ACM Global Central Laboratory. In 2014, they became the Blood Sciences Manager and Pathology Lead for Innovation and Improvement at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. In 2018, they were appointed as an NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur. Most recently, they co-founded TestCard.com and serves as the Chief Strategy Officer.

Andrew Botham's education history includes a PhD in Medicine from the University of Hull (2003-2007), an M.Res. in Biotechnology from the University of Kent (2002-2003), an Associate Member from the Institute of Biomedical Science (2000-2003), a PG Cert in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Westminster (1999-2000), a B.Sc. Hons in Biochemistry from the University of Essex (1997-1999), and a qualification from Havering College of Further and Higher Education (1994-1996). Andrew also holds a Member qualification from the Institute of Biomedical Science (2008-present), and is a State Registered Biomedical Scientist from The Health and Care Professions Council.
