Hussain al-Lawati

Hussain Al-Lawati has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Hussain started their career in 1993 with the Ministry of Oil & Gas, where they held various roles including Deputy Director General of Oil & Incharge of the Exploration Department. In this position, they supervised exploration and production activities and reviewed work programs for oil companies. Hussain also played a key role in the government's gas exploration program. In 2007, they joined BG Group as Vice President of External Affairs before moving to Oman Oil Exploration & Production LLC in 2010. There, they served as the External Affairs Manager, Commercial Liaison Manager, and External Affairs Advisor. In 2013, they became the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Oman Oil Exploration & Production LLC. Hussain then joined Oman Oil comapny Exploration and Production in 2014 as the External Affairs Manager. Hussain later became the Director of Business Development at Tethys Oil in the same year.

Hussain Al-Lawati completed their high school education from Abdullah Al Salim between 1972 and 1974, receiving High School Certificates. Following this, they pursued their undergraduate studies in Petroleum Engineering at The University of Tulsa from 1975 to 1979, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
