Filipe Cadete

Filipe Cadete is a highly skilled professional in bioinformatics, currently serving as Chief Bioinformatician at SGS since June 2021. Prior to this, Filipe worked as a Data Scientist at Santander Portugal and held postdoctoral positions at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University, where extensive experience in gene-expression analysis, simulation testing, and single-cell sequencing techniques was acquired. Filipe began a career in research at the European Bioinformatics Institute, contributing to the integration of genomic data and the application of machine learning methods. The educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, a Master's degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the University of Lisbon, and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from the same institution.
