Théo Schäfer

Théo Schäfer is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Tetsuwan Scientific, a venture-backed company co-founded in New York City in January 2024. Prior to this role, Théo was a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First from October 2023 to February 2024, where efforts centered on aiding exceptional individuals in building innovative technology firms. Théo's research experience includes a position as a Graduate Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Engineering Systems Lab in 2023 and as a Visiting Researcher at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, focusing on robotic explorations of Europa. Previous leadership experience includes managing a team at ARIS on the development of an unmanned underwater vehicle for space exploration. Théo holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics, Systems, and Control from ETH Zürich and is completing a Master's thesis at MIT.
