John Hryhorchuk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy, advocacy, and budget management. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at Texas 2036 since March 2020, John has previously held multiple strategic roles within the Office of the Texas Governor, including Deputy Director of Budget & Policy and Senior Budget Advisor, from January 2015 to March 2020. Before that, John contributed to the Office of the Texas Lieutenant Governor and worked on communications and research for the Romney presidential campaign. With a legal background as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates, John also has earlier experience as a War Room Intern for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004. John holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Tulane University.
