Robert Baker

Robert Baker serves as a Professor of the Practice in Maritime Business Administration at Texas A&M University Galveston Campus since August 2021, teaching courses such as Ocean Transportation and Port Operations. Prior to this role, Robert held various positions at ExxonMobil, including Marine Superintendent, where responsibilities involved overseeing the transportation of petroleum and ensuring marine safety compliance. Robert also contributed to LNG project planning and implementation in several advisory roles within the company. Earlier career experiences include financial analysis for maritime operations, senior lecturing in marine transportation, and strategic planning for vessel operations. Robert holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston and a B.S. in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University.
