John Laycock

John Laycock is a Senior Research Analyst at Texas Appleseed, leading the Disaster Equity Data Portal and supporting various campaigns in Criminal Justice, Youth and Education Justice, Fair Financial Services, and Disaster Recovery and Fair Housing since August 2023. With extensive experience as a Data Analyst at Pegasus Planning and Development, LLC since September 2015, John analyzes economic data for government agencies and educational institutions across the country. Additionally, John has served as an Independent Urban Planning Consultant and has held roles such as Planner at Land Strategies, Inc. and Lead Planner at Big Red Dog. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's Degree in Classics from the University of Chicago.
