Kathy Wetzel has been working in the field of information technology for over 25 years. Kathy started their career as a director of customer service at Honeywell, where they oversaw the customer service department and developed strategies to improve customer satisfaction. In 2001, they transitioned to Valspar, where they served as director of information technology. In this role, Kathy was responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that supported the company's business objectives. In 2006, they joined Great Clips Inc as vice president of IT. Kathy was responsible for driving a $1.5M business intelligence initiative to create a single source of truth for salon data. Kathy also developed a standardized salon infrastructure and moved 30% of the capital budget to application development. Under Kathy's leadership, the system uptime improved from 92% to 99.9%. In 2014, Kathy joined the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) as associate executive director of IT. In this role, Kathy is responsible for overseeing the association's IT operations and strategy.
Kathy Wetzel earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota and an MBA in Supply Chain from the University of San Diego. Kathy is certified by the International Franchise Association as a CFE (Certified Franchise Executive).
