Denise Hoelting

Team Lead, Crime Victims' Compensation at Texas Attorney General

Denise Hoelting has extensive experience in the field of victim services and law enforcement. Denise began their career in 1989 as a Senior Patrol Officer with the Austin Airport Police, where they served until January 1995. Denise then joined the Texas Attorney General's office in July 1995, where they became a Team Lead for Crime Victims' Compensation. In this role, they provided leadership and support in delivering compensation to innocent victims of violent crime. In May 2015, Denise joined the Texas Attorney General's Crime Victim Services division as an Assistant Eligibility Manager for Crime Victim's Compensation. Here, they led a team of reviewers in determining eligibility for the Crime Victims' Compensation fund, providing financial assistance to victims of crime for expenses such as medical and funeral costs. Throughout their career, Denise has demonstrated a commitment to assisting crime victims and ensuring they receive the support they need.

Denise Hoelting has a BA in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
