Kanon Bernard Lillemon

Kanon Bernard Lillemon is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Attorney at the Texas Attorney General since March 2023. With a background that includes roles as an Adjunct Instructor at Our Lady of the Lake University, where Kanon developed an online curriculum in criminal law, and as an Associate Attorney at Brock Guerra Strandmo Dimaline Jones PC, Kanon has worked extensively in civil defense and personal injury law. Previous positions include Litigation Associate at Thomas J. Henry Law, civil litigation representation at Shumway Van, and a significant tenure as a Violence Against Women Act Grant Prosecutor in the 38th Judicial District Attorney’s office, where Kanon achieved high voluntary resolution rates of criminal charges. Kanon's legal career originated with positions at district attorney's offices addressing various prosecution levels, and the establishment of a sole proprietorship focused on criminal defense. An accomplished academic, Kanon holds a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law, a Master’s in Finance from Our Lady of the Lake University, and a Master's in English Literature from the University of the Incarnate Word.
