Katie Abell

Katie Abell is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office since March 2021. Prior to this role, Katie served as a Briefing Attorney for Presiding Judge Sharon Keller at the Court of Criminal Appeals from September 2019 to February 2021. Katie holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the SMU Dedman School of Law, obtained in 2019, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Texas Christian University, completed in 2016.
