Daxton Stewart

Daxton "Chip" Stewart is a seasoned academic and professional with extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as the Assistant Provost for Research Compliance, Professor, and Associate Dean at Texas Christian University since January 2008. Stewart has held various positions within the Bob Schieffer College of Communication, including Interim Dean and Associate Professor. Prior professional experience includes roles as Editor for Dispute Resolution Magazine, Graduate Instructor and Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Assistant City Editor for the Columbia Missourian. Stewart's legal experience includes working as an Attorney at the law offices of Ed Laughlin and as Assistant Sports Information Director at Southern Methodist University. Academically, Stewart holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a JD from The University of Texas School of Law and dual Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and History from Southern Methodist University.
