Brenda Cruz

Brenda Cruz currently serves as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman for the Texas Democratic Party, having administered the 2024 primary election and managed staff to foster collaboration across departments. Prior roles include Deputy Voter Protection Director, where Brenda led programmatic efforts during the 2023 Texas Legislative Session, and Regional Political Manager, focusing on voter engagement programs. Brenda's experience also includes participation in the National Democratic Training Committee's Staff Academy, where skills in campaign communications were developed, and earlier positions within the Texas Democratic Party focusing on voter protection and regional political direction. Additionally, Brenda held leadership roles in educational and organizational settings, such as serving as Lead Teacher and President of the Texas Democratic Women of the South Plains, where efforts were directed towards increasing political participation among women.
