Catherine Wright-Steele

Catherine Wright-Steele has been with the Texas Department of Agriculture since December 2004, currently holding the position of Administrator for Food and Nutrition. With a background in political science and government, Catherine has also held roles such as Director of External Relations and Grants and Special Projects Coordinator. Prior to their current position, Catherine worked as a Program Specialist at South Plains Association of Governments and served as a Congressional Intern at Congressman Larry Combest's Office. In addition, Catherine has experience as a Mentor Program Coordinator with AmeriCorps. Catherine's career has been focused on legislative advocacy, grant coordination, and program implementation within the public sector.
