Suzanne Barnard has over 15 years of experience in community development and project management, currently serving as the State Director for CDBG Programs at the Texas Department of Agriculture since March 2010. In this role, Suzanne directs a $60 million federal Community Development Block Grant program, facilitating infrastructure and development opportunities in rural Texas, while also overseeing a team managing more than 500 contracts. Prior to this, Suzanne worked as a Regional Coordinator at the Texas Office of Rural Community Affairs, where responsibilities included managing infrastructure contracts and special projects related to HUD reporting. Suzanne's early career includes internships in city management with the City of Buda and the City of Clayton. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
