David Blassingame

David Blassingame, CVLE, serves as the Presiding Officer for the Motor Vehicle Industry Advisory Committee at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles since August 2021. In addition, David is the President of Blassingame Consulting, a consulting service focused on automotive companies and dealers, providing legislative consultation and compliance governance since March 2019. Previously, David hosted the Saturday Morning Test Drive radio program on 105.3 The Fan for over 16 years and held various positions in automotive companies, including Managing Partner at Autoflex Leasing and Body Shop Manager at Sewell Automotive Companies. David's educational background includes attendance at the University of North Texas, certification as a Vehicle Leasing Executive from NVLA, and training as a Skydiving Instructor at Skydive University.
