Jimmy Archer

Jimmy Archer has extensive experience in public service and law enforcement, currently serving as the Director of the Motor Carrier Division at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles since October 2012. Prior to this role, Jimmy Archer spent over 26 years at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, culminating in the position of Chief of the Criminal Investigations Division. Earlier career positions included Audit Technician, Tax Fraud Investigator, and Assistant General Counsel. Jimmy Archer earned a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Political Science/Pre Law from the University of St. Thomas in Texas.
