Kendra Banchy

Kendra Banchy currently serves as the Co-Founder of Gente Empowerment Network and the Chief of Staff for School Programs at the Texas Education Agency. With extensive experience in education and leadership, Kendra has held various significant roles including Director of Human Capital Systems & Strategy, Director of Talent Management, and Director of Project Management at San Antonio ISD. Kendra participated in The Broad Residency from 2017 to 2019 and previously worked with Teach For America in multiple capacities for over six years, culminating as Managing Director for Strategy, Talent & Operations. Kendra began her career as a founding teacher at KIPP Minnesota and taught 5th grade at Anna Strong Elementary in Lee County School District. Kendra holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the Broad Residency program and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Gender and Women's Studies from Grinnell College.
