Shane S.

Shane S. currently serves as the Director of School Safety Policy and Rulemaking at the Texas Education Agency, where responsibilities include leading statewide school safety initiatives and advising senior education and legislative leaders on related policies. Prior roles include Program Manager for both the Office of School Safety and Security and the Division of Safe and Supportive Schools, where Shane S. coordinated cross-functional approaches to school safety across multiple agencies. Previous experience includes establishing the in-house police department at Manor Independent School District, serving as Chief of Police at Concordia University Texas, and various law enforcement positions with the Travis County Constable's Office and other institutions. Shane S. holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Ethics and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Edward's University, along with specialized training from the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas.
