Billy M Atkinson

Billy M Atkinson CPA has extensive experience in finance, accounting, and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board for the Texas Public Finance Authority since March 2011, Atkinson oversees the issuance of publicly traded bonds for state agencies. Additionally, Atkinson has been a Board Member for the City of Sugar Land 4B Corporation since November 2019. Previous roles include Immediate Past Chair of the Private Company Council at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from September 2012 to December 2015, and Chair of the Board of Directors at a private manufacturing company from June 2012 to June 2015. Atkinson has also held significant positions with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, serving as a Retired Partner after nearly four decades. Educationally, Atkinson earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
