Alan Vargas

Alan Vargas currently holds the position of Student Counselor at Spring Oaks Counseling, LLC, and serves as the Grand Chapter Advisor for Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. Since June 2022, Alan has been a Bilingual Patient Advocate - Level II at Texas Health Action, where responsibilities include providing care in HIV and STI prevention, facilitating gender-affirming care, and assisting patients with insurance navigation. Prior experience includes roles such as Shift Manager at Starbucks, Assessor at El Paso Mental Health, LLC, Audio Visual Technician for the City of San Antonio, and various positions at St. Mary's University, including Program Assistant and Student Assistant. Alan's educational background includes a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from St. Mary's University.
